Nominal power corresponds to the maximum value measured under standard test conditions, but it is only one of the parameters to consider. On its own, it does not indicate how much energy the module will actually produce throughout the day, nor how well it will maintain its performance over the years after exposure to temperature fluctuations, humidity, wind, snow, and hail.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-39ae023 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"39ae023\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Which construction features have the greatest impact on durability?<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cThe mechanical strength of a module depends on the balance of the entire design and cannot be attributed to a single element.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cWhen the module is subjected to mechanical stress, forces are generated and distributed throughout the entire structure. The quality of the materials used\u2014from the glass and frame to the encapsulant and cells\u2014the treatments they undergo, and the way all these elements are integrated therefore become essential.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cIn Peimar\u2019s Made in Italy modules, we use a single 3.2 mm glass layer, while our bifacial modules feature a 2+2 mm dual-glass configuration, which helps increase overall rigidity and limit deflection under load. Glass thickness alone does not determine the robustness of a module: even significantly different construction architectures can provide high mechanical strength when properly designed.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cTempering increases the glass\u2019s resistance to impacts, mechanical loads, and thermal shocks, while the structure of the module and frame helps distribute loads correctly.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cThe quality of the lamination is also essential to protect the cells and preserve their integrity throughout the module\u2019s operating life.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cRobustness is therefore the result of the interaction between materials, treatments, structure, and the quality of the manufacturing process.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-855c2a7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"855c2a7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Can certifications help identify the most durable modules?<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cCertifications demonstrate compliance with the requirements defined by standards through standardized and repeatable tests, designed to be carried out according to common criteria even in different laboratories.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cHowever, this does not mean that all certified modules are equivalent or that passing a specific test guarantees resistance to every environmental condition. It is important to consider which tests are carried out and how suitable they are for the conditions in which the module will operate.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cPeimar modules are certified according to IEC 61215, which covers module design qualification and performance testing, and IEC 61730, which focuses on construction and electrical safety. The range also includes solutions subjected to specific tests for particularly challenging environments, such as those specified by IEC 61701 for salt mist, IEC 60068-2-68 for sand and dust, and IEC 62716 for ammonia, which is often relevant in agrivoltaic and agricultural solar applications.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cCertifications therefore provide a better understanding of the operating conditions for which the module has been designed and tested, but they do not make it possible to rank the products on the market according to their robustness.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3fe1d08 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3fe1d08\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>How do Peimar modules meet these quality and reliability requirements?<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cAt Peimar, we consider module quality to be the result of a process that must be controlled at every stage.
