The future of photovoltaics in Africa depends on projects built to last

Africa has no shortage of either sunshine or ambition in the photovoltaic sector. The real challenge lies in turning promising ideas into projects that investors are willing to finance and that end users can rely on for many years after they are completed.

Battery energy storage systems are becoming a key part of this evolution, making solar energy available when it is needed rather than only when it is generated. However, storage alone is not enough to make a project bankable. Every component must contribute to building a solid and credible technical and financial foundation.

For Peimar, all of this starts with photovoltaic modules backed by clear technical documentation, recognized certifications, consistent manufacturing standards, and long-term product and performance warranties. These elements help developers and EPCs reduce uncertainty, assess expected performance, and build more robust projects from an investment perspective as well. Because even before generating energy, a photovoltaic project must be able to generate trust.
