Generating energy locally can make a significant difference in areas far from the main electricity infrastructure. In Paso de Indios, in Argentine Patagonia, a new project will integrate 2.8 MWp of photovoltaic capacity into the system supplying the community, with the aim of significantly reducing dependence on diesel generators.
It is a concrete example of how photovoltaic technology can adapt to complex geographical contexts, transforming a locally available resource into energy for the community. Projects of this kind reflect one of the major opportunities in the sector in which Peimar operates: designing photovoltaic generation for different scales and needs, from distributed installations to systems capable of contributing to the energy supply of entire communities.
