Photovoltaic growth gains momentum across the Baltic States

Photovoltaics are expanding their presence across Northern Europe. Growth in the Baltic region shows how this technology is becoming increasingly relevant even in markets with climatic conditions that differ from Europe’s traditionally more developed photovoltaic regions.

Latvia provides a significant example of this development: according to the source, around 600 MW of new capacity was added in 2026, bringing the country’s total installed capacity to over 1.5 GW.

The expansion into Northern Europe is also broadening the geography of the European photovoltaic market. Different markets, environmental conditions and installation types require technologies capable of adapting to new project scenarios: a context in which Peimar can bring its photovoltaic expertise and its ability to address a wide range of application requirements.
