New electricity demand is reshaping Brazil’s energy landscape

The electrification of transport is also transforming the way Brazil uses energy. In just twelve months, the public and semi-public electric vehicle charging network grew by more than 76%, while the number of fast-charging points nearly tripled.

Behind this expansion, a new need is emerging: making increasing amounts of electricity available where vehicles are used and recharged. Homes, apartment buildings, businesses, parking areas and commercial infrastructure are therefore becoming new points of connection between mobility and energy.

It is precisely in these places that photovoltaics can play an increasingly important role, supporting new electricity demand with distributed generation. Rooftops, commercial buildings and other available surfaces can be transformed into energy-generating spaces: an evolution to which the Peimar range can contribute with modules suitable for different configurations and project types.
