Which aspects of Peimar’s business in India make you most proud at the moment?
“One of the most important strategic decisions we made in India was to split pallets and serve every customer segment, from small installers and EPC companies to large retailers and wholesalers. This choice has allowed us to be closer to every type of customer and build long-term relationships across the entire value chain.”
In your opinion, what are the main strengths that set Peimar apart in the Indian market?
“There are a few aspects that truly differentiate us from other brands. First and foremost, our Italian identity. We are one of the very few European brands operating in India, and this gives us a unique positioning in a market dominated by local and global competitors.”
“Secondly, price: despite the 40% import duty, we are still able to maintain highly competitive prices, making our solutions accessible to a wide range of customers.”
“Finally, our commitment to service. As a team, we have always been available to our customers 24/7, handling everything from sales and deliveries to after-sales support, damage reimbursements, claims and logistics. This constant presence has created a strong sense of reliability and trust.”
Can you share something interesting about how Peimar products have been received and perceived in India?
“In states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra and others, we have succeeded in building significant brand awareness for our products. We offer a superior warranty compared with most other brands available in India. Our modules have built a strong reputation in specific sectors such as agriculture, irrigation, farming and livestock, particularly in the country’s rural areas. Over the past three years, we have managed to build strong customer loyalty, with several customers becoming long-term partners.”
What future prospects or projects excite you most about Peimar’s growth in India?
“Looking ahead, innovation will play a central role in our next phase of growth. The introduction of bifacial and TOPCon modules will be a real game changer. We currently offer only one product variant, the OR10H545M, but the market is evolving rapidly. Today, more than 80% of new solar projects in India are already being developed using bifacial panels.”
“Demand is strong and expected to grow significantly, driven by higher energy yields, greater efficiency, favourable government policies and a wide range of applications in both large-scale plants and urban rooftop installations. For us, this shift represents not only an opportunity, but also a strategic step towards strengthening our position and continuing to expand in one of the world’s most dynamic solar markets.”
