An energy crisis does not necessarily have to originate within national borders to affect industry, transport, public services, and household budgets. For Southeast Asian countries, dependence on imported fuels has made instability in international markets a risk factor for local economies.For this reason, diversifying energy sources now represents much more than an environmental goal. Developing domestic photovoltaic generation can help reduce the exposure of businesses and institutions to fuel price volatility, strengthen energy independence, and increase the resilience of production systems and everyday activities.
